Warmer ambient temperatures can cause your vacuum pump seal water temperature to rise significantly in recirculating systems producing a loss of pump capacity. These temperatures can reach as high as 125 ºF in many applications. Adding a cooling tower can bring the seal water temperature down to 80-90 ºF and improve vacuum pump performance by approximately 10-15%. A self-cleaning gravity strainer can be located ahead of the cooling tower to remove debris retained on a 100 mesh screen. Improves Performance of Vacuum Pumps |
